Founder

I’m not just a hard-working animal lover— I have 6+ years of experience in small animal veterinary hospitals and an emergency hospital and 10 years as a pet sitter. I’m certified in Pet First Aid and CPR and I’ve taken several continuing education classes to either keep my skills sharp or learn new ones! My experience and knowledge allows me to care for your pet with special needs. I am prepared for emergency situations that may arise while your pet is in my care. I truly enjoy a personal connection with my clients because it’s just as important as one with your pets!

So now that you know the business side, let me tell you a little bit about the rest! I am happily married with 2 amazing almost grown stepsons. They keep life interesting and I love it! We always have a few 4-legged kids in our home too. Right now we just have dogs, but throughout my life I’ve had cats, guinea pigs, a hedgehog, and several large aquariums. I was blessed to grow up as a “barn rat” in an American Saddlebred horse show barn. I worked as a trainer, gave lessons, cleaned stalls, and whatever else was needed in daily barn life in exchange for free stall rental for my horses. I also volunteered at the Indy Humane Society and took part in the teen program working behind the scenes with the animals at the Indianapolis Zoo for a couple years.

My first real job was working in the kennel at a small animal hospital. I thought that’s what I wanted to do, but in a large animal setting. So, I went to University of Tennessee to study large animal medicine. However, goals can change and I decided I wanted to help the environment and animals. So, I moved to Oregon with my 4-legged soulmate, a lab mix named Lira, to get my degree in Environmental Health Sciences. While I was out there I worked as a veterinary assistant at a small animal hospital and helped at a local horse farm that also had chickens, sheep and alpacas. Once I returned to Indianapolis I worked at an emergency and specialty animal hospital at the front desk and as a veterinary assistant until I got a job in my field. My heart missed the animals though and I missed the movement outside an office. So, when the opportunity arose to start my own pet sitting and dog walking business I jumped at it and I haven’t looked back!

Just a few of the animals who blessed my life

F.F. Rosewood (Taffy) was my first love and I Be Jammin’ (PJ) was the first to teach me about heartbreak.

Lira will always be my 4-legged soulmate!

Our favorite hound dog Fatman secretly loved our coolest cat Rico Suave

I picked up Penny from the middle of the road and she tragically died during her spay.  She was only in our lives for a short time, but touched our hearts forever.

We are growing and other bios coming soon

We are excited to work with you!
